Went out walking last Sunday to try out a new 17-40 L lens. Opinions?

Tough call Peter.

I think the light is wonderful as irt hits the old bricks .. but ... it does not look like a cottage in he sense of small and quaint. Also "county" suggests more of a vista. I think that lens is a winner, but the great images may have to wait for window flower boxes, etc.
