Ive noticed that the focus assist light on my 580ex stopped working. It worked a couple weeks ago and now doesnt light up. I checked CFn 12, and its set to 0 (enabled). Are there any other settings on the flash/camera that need to be active???

Have you tried focusing on a blank wall in dim light? I believe the focus assist only comes on if there isn't enough contrast or light for unassisted focusing.

It also won't work in AI Servo, make sure you're on one-shot.
