Hi everyone,
I have the option to purchase a D30 body from an ad in the local paper. While the price sounds good, I know that they have dropped in price dramatically in the last few months, and I don't want to pay more than it's worth...
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Tom, that's actually more than I would be prepared to pay for this one... :)

I am seeing the sell on E-bay for between $525.00 and $650.00
Heres one with a Buy It Now for $650.00 including a lens,.. but there is also one with 15 hours left to go under $550.00

I've been following used D30's and Kodak DCS 520's on Ebay for quite some time now and couldn't notice any recent dramatic price drops.
The prices CDS quoted are actually quite good for D 30 bodies in good condition. The old clumsy 1.3 - 2 MP Kodak DCS cameras (AP 2000) based on Nikon system seem to have levelled out at about 250 - 350 USD some time ago now, the 2 MP DCS 520 based on the Canon EOS 1 sells for about 500 USD ... you won't be able to get a 3 MP DSLR any cheaper.
I also don't think that new entries in the 6 MP or above category (DRebel, D70) are going to bring that price *much* down in the near future.
But that's just my 2 (Euro)Cents...
Regards,
Andy

Shutterbug just reminded the whole world about 520's. So the price won't go down on those for a while.
