Tis the Season

I suppose we will be seeing a bunch of these... Anyhow, thoughts or ideas greatly appreciated. I'm just playing around with lighting and colors and prefer the glow to a harsh flash for the holiday setting. These are just some products of experiential learning... Mainly looking for thoughts on lighting, color set up, and the motion blur from ornaments... do they ruin the pictures? How else can one acheive the glow using the flash?

junah, I like #1 the best. The softness goes well. I don't particularly like the wall for the background in either photo, but I understand you're just experimenting and trying out new things and besides it's a little difficult to move the wall:D . Very cute kids!

I reaqlly like the first. Both seem a little too orange though.
