I'm not gonna lie Gail, if you want to SHARE, you should put this in the "Share Photos" section.

Also, being that this is a CANON forum it sure would be nice to see pictures taken with a Canon.

Gail posted an older picture shot with a diferent old camera. But Gail uses a G3 everyday nowadays. She tries to learn as i do in this forum how to better use our Canon digital cameras. imho you are exagering.

This is a nice informal portrait Gail and being such a colourful subject it should be in colour. If you have PhotoShop or Paint Shop Pro, I suggest that you try retouching out the braces on her teeth.

OK.... give be a break, I'm trying and all this is new to me. And this picture is nothing special to anyone but me. I just wanted to share thought it was a cute image of girl, and kitten. And I now have the Canon G3 that I very much love. This shot is like 2 year old was just going through some of my oldies the other night and seen this one and thought I would share. Sorry, if I avenged anyone. And about the braces, there is really nothing I can do to this photo to improve, it's just a memory in the scrapbook, And special, to me.
it was taken with my old camera 1.3 mp.

but thanks for the comment anyway.

Once again Gail you are proving my point. You are SHARING pictures that are special to you. Its like picking up a scrapbook and bringing it over to your friends house and showing pictures of all your "babies" (i.e. Cat, Poodle, Parrot, Daughter, Granddaughter).

This section is best used to CRITIQUE photos and yet you implicitly state that you want to SHARE!!! See the "SHARE PHOTOS" section for that. Did you even know that there is such a section.

To further prove my point, when someone offered CRITICISM (that means that they CRITIQUED your photo) about the braces, you just said that you aren't going to fix it and have no intention of it. WHY??? Because you wanted to share, it is special to you, and its a memory. Which is fine if you are in the "SHARE PHOTOS" section.

I want your best pictures from your Canon camera so that we can tell you what is wrong with them and you can fix them.

I am not telling you not to post, just use this forum to your advantage by placing photos in the correst category.

I disagree. It's a very nice informal portrait but it works much better in colour.

As others have said, if you don't want criticism you should post to the SHARE PHOTOS forum, not to this one.

I disagree... It's normal for a teenage girl to have braces on her teeth, removing them changes the picture too drastically. You photoshop out things like zits from acne.

Good point.

you know a private message is just as effective and less condesending.
