This coming May of '07 I am going on a 2 week long service trip to Panama and Costa Rica through my college. What would I need in the way of power adapters to recharge my camera's battery in a common wall outlet in either location? I won't have my A620, so I'll be using my Panasonic DMC-FZ7 and I already have two proprietary rechargeable batteries for that and a US pronged wall charger.

My deal is I want to take tons of photos since I will probably never have an opportunity to travel back to these places again. I won't be taking my laptop either so I guess more SD cards are in my future too haha

I bought a travel camera battery charger that will accomodate all different voltages. I don't recall whether it came with outlet adapters or if I bought them separately. But I've now used it in Russia, Mexico, and Senegal (West Africa) without a problem. I got by for 2 months in Africa just charging in the wall when I went to bed -- no voltage adapter needed.

Rather than looking for more SD cards, why not look into a portable media device? I have an Epson P-2000 and on the cruise that I just got back from rather than taking a computer to download images, I used the Epson. If you're worried about the cost, keep in mind that there are less expensive variations that are just a hard drive with a media recepticle and no screen. Just a thought.

Enjoy your trip!!!
