Not bad shots, they just lack a bit of life. Think of locations, backgrounds, depth of field. Play around and try different things, tis the name of the game.

The Xsara would have been nicer if you'd zoomed in a bit tighter :)
Credit to anyone who turns out to watch the Rally of a bit of Wales. Personally i'd rather chew my own foot off :)

Why's that
It's F1 on mud and not a patch on the event it replaced.

thats a bit harsh - really, in all honesty, all motorsport photography is boring, and if it isn't, usually its documenting something other than the actual sport (eg, the rally cars). my 2 pence...

You may think that, but in all photography you are trying to create a photo worth a million bucks not just take a photo for the sake of it. Critism is always the best way to learn something (well thats what I found) you have to create something that everyone likes. It is a mission when you start out but soon enough you will get the hang of it

I agree. Seen one car in action shot (in the different 'styles' - panning, three quarters/head on etc.) then the rest are just variations on that theme unless the shot shows something other than just the cars that participate in the event.
That's not to say criticism isn't a way of learning, but, to be honest, I find nearly all pans and head-ons, no matter how well executed just as boring as the worst of them. Technically more pleasing, but no more interesting.

Constructive criticism helps learning. Merely dismissing someone's shots as "boring" has little or no merit.
I dare say most of the regulars on here have had help from the likes of KennyG, IanH, Cadwell, Simon Harrison etc etc. If those gents had merely dismissed shots as being boring, then this would be a very quiet Motorsport forum indeed.
