They tell me they suck, they tell me they are awful, they tell I might have better luck in fishing as a hobbie. Well, i might be masochist but i want confirmation. :P
Do they suck that much?

They are basic, i wouldnt say they suck. Night photography takes some practice to really get a hold of. practice makes perfect. Try a star filter....
The really dont move me at all, But if i i had to choose i would pick the first.

Warman,
I like the idea as I have dabbled in what I call "light art." However, since this is critique corner, I'm going to have to say that I'm curious to learn whether this was meant to be abstract art or a photograph of something. Please let me know...
Thanks!

LOL, good question rushfan.
The first shot is not meant to be abstract, i tried to make a good composition with 3 lamppost and the moon by tilting the camera. I then split to RGB and used the blue channel. I wanted it to feel like someone was trying to run away from his life but anywhere he would run, life would always catch him. Sort of like a french movies aproach to that theme.
Second shot I supose you can see that they are two lampposts and the moon but it is extremely dark and it looks like one of the lamps has arms and the posts are sort of only slightly iluminated. My idea here was to make it sort of a ghost town at night horror movie idea.
So, they suck and i will get back to taking pictures of my cats asap! :)

Yeah, I'm not a fan of either of these photos, however, if they mean what you say they mean to you, that's all that counts. I have about 100 meaningful pictures that I know are terrible. I just look at them in private.

I think it would be nice if you croped the second image to just includ the lower left lamp post. Think you might catch that horrormovie idea better so. it kind of looks like a scarecrow.
And please, no cute catpics ;-) *lol*

Simply put, the fact that you can now see the marks on the face of the moon makes all the difference. I enjoy the second shot now - the original was a bit mild on impact.

WOW! I honestly thought that I could never like that shot, however the last rendition is actually good and inspires some thought on my part.
Well done. It is strange and not ever to be published or bought, but it does make me think really hard.
