What the best in term of IQ and bulid quaility X-300mm zoom (not prime) on the market today?

Is it a Canon, Sigma or Tamron?

What do you guys think?

SIgma EX DG 100-300/4 or 120-300/2.8

Sigma EX DG 100-300/4 or the 120-300/2.8 depending upon your budget and whether a fast shutter speed is of premium importance.

Bear in mind both are sizeable beasts

Definitely the Sigma 120-300 f/2.8. But get a monopod, too, because it's a heavy beast!

Agree whole-heartedly with the above suggestions. Every photo that I've seen posted on here from both of those lenses has been great. The 120-300 will hopefully be a part of my setup ...eventually :lol:
