Extracting imbeded JPEG

I set my 10d to shoot raw with a L JPEG. Wont this give me the best of both worlds, meaning I can shoot the raw (still learning post processing) and have the sharper JPEG also.

How can you extract the JPEG, can it be done in PS CS?

I don't think PS CS can extract the JPG. I know that Breezebrowser can.

Canon's FVU will extract them in a batch quickly.
Irfanview will also extract.
