Hi all,

I am about to purchase the 1D's and have started reading the Manual and have a few questions.

(1) Reading the manual i found that to select things in the menu you have to hold down the select button then move the QCD. Is it possible to turn that off somehow and not have to hold down the select button?

(2) Is there an easier way to select the ISO besides having to press the two buttons together (ISO+ Metering)?

Thanks

You'll get used to it. everything on the 1D takes two button presses, or a button and a dial. When I moved up to the 1D (from a 20D) it took me about 2 weeks to get the hang of the interface, and now I like it better than the "lesser" cameras. It has a weird and consistent logic all its own.

The 'two hands control method' is done on purpose to prevent accidental settings change. In the end you'd get used to any unser interface, but as David says, it's all very logic and consistent.
