Can anyone point me to a SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND online tutorial to masking in PSCS2? Thanks!

Open 2 images and place them on separate layers in the same document one on top the other , then select the top layer by clicking that layer ( it will turn blue ) in your layers stack .
At the bottom of the layers pallete there is a mask icon, third from the left , be on the top layer in your layers stack and click that icon ,, now you have a white box beside your image on that layer , click once on the white box ( mask) and a white line will outline that box showing its selected make sure you have the color black selected as your foreground color ( the two colors at bottom of tool bar ),, then pick your brush tool now paint on the main image , where you paint will punch a hole showing the layer below ,, if you switch to white and paint you will fill in that hole ,,, its that simple , have a play with brushes and opacity to make fine adjustments .
