Hi all, I was just browsing through the manual for the 300D and I'm rather confused by one of the entries in the section that describes the FE Lock function. It mentions that, I have to keep my shutter button half pressed, and then engage the FE Lock, and then I can recompose and fully press the shutter button to take the shot. The question I have is, keeping the shutter button half pressed, and recomposing...would the camera know what i want to focus on next? For example, if the focus distance between the area that I want to lock the exposure is diffrent from the area that I want to focus on...

Hope to hear from you all soon..Thanks..:)

Perror,

Once you have pressed the FE button, you can release the shutter release. The exposure will stay locked until you shoot the shot or turn off the camera. So you're camera will focus on the recomposed shot.
