Some shots from todays Christmas Classic MX meet.
The track had a weeks worth of rain in 3 hours the other day but had drained and the conditions were perfect.

Some great shots Fran, my personal favourites are 5 and 7, for being sharpest, or good composition. Great sense of speed in all, just a shame about sensor dust. Effects us all.

Keep it up :)

Nice shots. I cant wait to try to shoot MX next year. I think a tighter crop on a few of them would make them much better

Thanks guys :)
Sensor dust?
It's only the new fangled cameras that have a problem with sensor dust.

Tighter crop
These were cropped as tight as I dared without loosing any "story" associated

Too cramped.
I like a bit of space for them to ride into.

For the newspaper maybe cropped closer like that.

Hi there Nordie,

Liked them all, but that 1/50th pan is some nice work.

I'm quite pleased with the 1/50th pan myself :D
She was only doing about 15-20kph around that corner so I thought I'd better do something to show speed...

1/50th, f16, ISO100, 116mm
Normally I couldn't get that result shooting something stationary at those settings.
100% crop.

Nice series.
I also prefer them with some "room to ride into"
I have ridden the RM , PE Suzukis and owned 2 of the Honda XL500s so brings back memories for me.
