Quick (at work) - the first has a great couple kids, good pose, nice nat light, BUT could have used a more appropriate depth of focus - 2nd child just misses. Might be salvageable with Focus Magic (google it)

Second shot is very nice. Crop a little off the top

#1 could be a little underexposed - adjust in RAW or adjust the levels. Both could use a little sharpening and contrast.
