oh but I couldn't resist, just the words....

Below him was the multitudinous river, and, where the rock had parted it around him, big-grained vapor rose. The mini-molecules of water left in the wake of his line made momentary loops of gossamer, disappearing so rapidly in the rising big-grained vapor that they had to be retained in memory to be visualized as loops. The spray emanating from him was finer-grained still and enclosed him in a halo of himself. The halo of himself was always there and always disappearing, as if he were candlelight flickering about three inches from himself. The images of himself and his line kept disappearing into the rising vapors of the river, which continually circles to the tops of the cliffs where, after becoming a wreath in the wind, they became rays of the sun.

Flywing, see if you can find a copy of 'a river for all seasons' by tom williams. Published in 1980ish, a lovely collection of stories by a river keeper on the Hampshire Avon. Actually the sort of thing that makes me want to keep writing and taking photo's of my rivers without worrying about things like publishing etc. ahh, the self indulgent joys of blogging ;)

Heres a couple of photos and words that are in a photo book that I did a few years back. The photos don't do the original B&W warm toned images justice. It was going through a difficult time and this book was great therapy. The first one is the words are from Henry Rollins I wrote the second.

Instead of converting it staright to B&W, I removed the hue about -130 and the saturation by about -60. I them bumped the color balance towards a red bias with a touch of green to give it a not quite a sepia tone. A little tweak to the brightness and contrast and voila! ;)

Thanks, Jim. Hard to say where I got the font, down loaded it a couple of years ago. Where I get my scrapping booking supplies provides various sites for downloading fonts. It is called Agatha.

The framing is experimenting with different 3D effects/layers/selections. I want to make a mess of these buy some inexpensive frames, and donate them to one of our fall church fund raisers. Your feed back is most helpful.

Thank you Deb. I composed this one in the hopes of finding a suitable quote/poem. I was happy to find this one. I'm not very literary, especially with poems so when I have a certain word that a shot may conjur up I use Google to help find at good word match. For this one it was Crimson for the one Wally likes it was solitary.
