Many thanks to all of you for your thoughts. I showed these to Lori and she really appreciated the sentiments. I think after a suitable amount of time we will get four paws and a wet nose (for Sam's companionship as much as ours) from the shelter. Thank you all again.

Great stuff everyone, I have been reading through the last bunch of pages. It was over 6 months ago I was last here and had forgotten about this great thread. I might have to give it a go soon.

And Wally, we do seem to hit a lot of the same spots in this province, I have a shot of Mount Robson taken near the same spot in September. :)

On our way to Vancouver this summer we stopped at Robson park camp ground for the night. The shot is a 15sec exposure off a picnic table. Such a clear night and so rare we see it right to the top without clouds. I'd dearly love to see the back side of this one.

Thank you Ed.. :) The family is doing fine, and my brother in law is on auto pilot just moving along... The weeks ahead will be a time for us to be as close to him as possible... although they live out of state. We will do our best.

This is really pretty... I might suggest changing the color of the font so that it shows up better though. It kind of mixes in with the image behind it.

But I don't have a suggestion about color... Maybe a grey color.... or is it gray?

Good picture and quote. The words need to pop some, try playing with drop shadows and blur on them. Maybe a white drop shadow will work better than a black or grey.

Very nice, Viper. Hard to read who the quote is by, but; that could be this monitor. If anyone else says anything, dropping back the opacity another 5% should do the trick.
