Hi All
As above, Ive just bought my first slr. I know absolutely nothing about them but I wan't to take advantage of the cameras abilities.
Is there any books I can buy to give me some tips.
Thanks
Ian..

First thing- read the provided manual! seriously I can't stress this enough- I didn't bother and my photos showed that lol- went back and read it and, well I think that my photos improved- as for books it depends on what type photography your going to try...if you're into Macro- then a book on macro photography, if you're into landscape photography then a book on landscape photography lol... browse amazon they have lots of good ones...
Hope i have helped in some way

Read the manual, then read it again, then read it again, then read it .. ad infinitum.
Your manual is, for the time being, your best friend.
Welcome aboard and enjoy that new camera.

Congratulations!
Read the manual, ask questions on this forum and take pictures! Experiment with the different modes-shutter speeds, aperatures, exposure compensation....you have so much of an easier time learning with digital because you get instant results.
You don't have to wait for film to come back and decide you made a mistake. Delete what you don't want or need. Enjoy!

newbies unite! I too am brand new to the digital SLR scene. I've gone over my manual twice now, and I continuously refer back to it - it's a fantastic place to start, imo.
