Hi all...just a quick question for all the wedding pros..which photoshop actions can you not live without? I'm really liking Kevin Kubotas #2 pack. I was also looking into itty bitty's actions. Are your favorites used mostly for wedding portraits or do you use them for your other portraits also. I'm finding that of course I would rather come up with all of my own PP ..but run out of time..I also don't want to over use any one "special effect" action that stands out...so un-original. Anyway..was just wondering what everyone else is doing?? Thanks in advance. Kim A.:D

I have three of Kubota's actions and use some out of each, but not very many actually. I find myself making actions from some of the book and magazine tutorials. Skin actions for women, eye sharpening techniques etc.

The most useful thing for wedding photography is the delete button. Trying to give too many images, or process images too much, will kill your workflow.

that is so true! but dont you have your brides asking for more prints? or to see them all? how do you handle this situation. My packages come with 3 different amounts of proofs. But after i shoot for 4-6 hours and only give 30-50 it seems so little. Also do you only give one of each family member shot with best expressions or a couple so they can choose?
thanks

Thanks everyone.. I definately agree about not overloading the clients with proofs.

I did have the MOB ask to see all the images recently (1100 instead of the 350 given), I said ok at the time, but I have to get back to her to say no. There's a reason I only show them 350 photos. I'll ask her what specifically she wants to see and see if I can find it for her.
