Ok guys I have decided I cant live with out 2 550ex and to get the second one have to sell my 1 year old 420ex(usa) in mint condition. I am wondering what I should expect from it. I have everything but cant find the box, I have the manual, receipt from B&H, leather pouch, stand, and its been used very littls so its mint.
I am doing way to mutch Manual Exposure and using them with strobes and the 420ex is TTL based.

Note that the Canon 10D and 420EX flash are optimized for E-TTL mode.

I think they're worth about $15, but I'll be a swell guy and give you $25, and I'll pay shipping . . .

Why don't you mess around with the 420 and some wireless TTL stuff first. You need to set the 420 to slave and on Group B. The 550 on your camera will default to Group A. You set the 550 to Master and select ratios. The 420 should probably be flagged to insure that there's no flare and I use Velcro strips on mine to do attach the small flag cards.
I'm no big fan of Canon's E-TTL but for some reason this works great. If you email me directly I can show you what I've done with this setup.

Mint condition 420 EX should go for $145-150.
