Forth Road Bridge Scotland.
Late afternoon,
Tamron 28-75 lens, ISO 100 F29 at 10 secs

Practising light trails, Could'nt get the rest of the bridge in unlees I stood in the traffic.

I think perhaps the AV was a bit on the high side, I was sure this was on Manual when I shot it but exif says auto. Took lots of shots but high winds produced a lot of shaky shots on a normally stable tripod. This was the best of the bunch. Shadow on lower left was the strap flailing about, I must remember the next time to tie it down.

What would have made this pic better?

I think it would work better if you cropped the houses out at the bottom and cleaned up the dirt spots in the sky.

If you get the chance to take it again then by losing the houses at the bottom you could have got the top of the bridge in too.

Still a very nice shot.

Thank's Brian, I will go back again as the bridge is not too far from me and try again.
I never noticed the spots in the sky but they are probably spots of rain on the lens as it was very windy and starting to rain at the time, at least I hope so. Got a nice blue sky today so I'll check them out.

It's a lovely shot - the spots could equally just be dust on the sensor that's only visible at very narrow apertures. It reminds me of Teaninich which is distilled by the Firth of Forth.

Is it possible to get higher up and shoot down on the bridge more? Be nice to see more trails.

Gonna go back in the daylight and have a look around for a better spot, maybe need to dodge the traffic a bit ;) Definitley rain spots not sensor dust Gotee, took some test pics earlier.

Fair enough - I'm impressed how clean your sensor is then :).
