.. and now it doesn't turn as smooth as it should. It works, but now I can't focus before using it. Is there any way of fixing it?
Well.. I guess I can use it if I hold the focus where I want it very tightly when I turn the pol. filter, but it annoys me. :)

It's likely you've somehow bent or warped one or more parts of the filter. Check for damage on the filter rings.
You might be able to repair it. It would be good to remove the glass before attempting any sort of repair. A tiny little ring inside the filter thread likely holds the glass in, you may need to borrow or purchase a tool for it. Before you remove the glass, mark with painters masking tape where to line up the little white dot. (little triangle pointing to it should help you know which side is out, and it orientation.)
Good luck.

Ooh.. didn't see there was a reply. Thanks! :)
Yes. My conclusion was that something is warped. When I squeeze the back part that screws into the lens together at a certain point, it gets somewhat looser. I guess I'll have to try bending it back into place if I get extremely annoyed with it, or maybe just take it to someone who knows what they're doing. Considering I spent almost $100 on it, which is much for a pol. filter by any standard, maybe it's worth getting pro help. :?

Getting a professional repair may well be worth it (seeing how the tolerance for error is so small and the original cost of the filter.) Good luck. :)
