Here's some more of my b shots that haven't sold. Kinda cool shooting red carpets for a change. Although dealing with the other photogs blows because of the whole ego trip deal.... I'll save that for another story..

Nice images hook. I understand how you feel about the other photographers. I did an event that was exclusive to this Wire Images lady. But the organization wanted another photographer, so I was brought in. I met her and she looked like she wanted to kill me. I told her i was shooting for different reasons but she looked like she wanted to stab me in the back when i turned around.

It was cool though. I looked up some of her images, compared to some of mine in shooting the same things. I kicked her butt, so that's all i needed to make me feel better. But she defintely was blah.

However, for the most part, my dealings with other pros has been quite good. Although a lot of that has been on the sports side, more than anything.

Was this particular lady rather heavyset and unpleasant?

BJ and Tyler are great at posing for you...they must have rehearsed the moves...why not? the moves look great?

The other shots in portrait look just like most red carpet shots...very nice set...

(Say hookoop, you realize what time it is?):D

We definately wish to hear the "other photographers" story...

Rainn Wilson isn't the brother of Owen and Luke. Owen and Luke grew up in Texas, and Rainn grew up near Chicago. Great actor though, and I love the show! And great pics!

Haha yeah I agree. The Office is a hilarious show, but definitely not brothers.

My bad on the Rainn deal. My assistant said she believed they were all related. Last time i'm taking her word for it!

I don't know of any of these people (I watch very little on TV other than the Simpsons and some CSI garbage!) but most of the guys need their Moms to dress them! Great shots and sharing Hook, thanks!

BTW, anyone who wants to shoot with (against) other professional photographers where there is more comraderie than competition should try boxing! Everyone helps everyone with the emphasis on supporting the fighters!

This does remind me: the casino treats everyone, employee or guest, with great respect and appreciation. As the "House Photographer" most of the outside photographers are directed to me (even though I have no official authority of any kind). I always treat them respectfully, get them bottled water (no drinks at the casino), offer to share my equipment if compatible, etc. About half of each new group seem blown away when I do this and offer tips on places to shoot from that are "legal" and what focal lengths work well from where, etc. I used to wonder why, but after hearing stories here I can see that they aren't used to be treated well by the "competition." Too bad, so sad. :(

There's not much comradarie on the red carpet... There are those that you get along with and those that you don't. There is no professional respect as it's everyone for themselves which really sucks.

OMG hugh lawrie looks ill!

And an even bigger OMG at Lipnicki! I never ever wanted him to grow up! He was so cute with those little glasses!

Great images though!

Obviously she needs to be fired! J/k! I used to think that Luke Perry (90210) and Matthew Perry (Friends) were brothers. My wife set me straight. So I fired her!

Yeah, from my little experiences, its more closely to the paparazzi crowd than anything. Sucks ,because many of those photogs give photography the bad name.

Sports shooting weirdly has a pretty good level of comraderie, as it would seem the opposite.

MMA is the same way! Thank God.

Nice photos. I've always wanted to go into Hollywood to try such a thing.
Do you do it freelance or do you get credentials through some organization?
