I've noticed the Canon BP-511 is 7.4 volts and most of the substitutes are 7.2 volts. Wouldn't that slightly lower voltage (power) be detrimental to the G3 over time? Just seems like if an electric motor needs 110 volts to run efficiently then running 60 volts thru it will eventually burn it out. Just curious and hoped someone might know. Thanks.

No problem , the camera has a voltage controller between the battery and the camera electronics.

Doggizmo,
Thank you. Would hate to ruin such a fine camera trying to save a few $$.
