Photo looks pretty good. Try to get ahead of the cars on the stands with a telephoto. Makes for much nicer shots, IMHO. See the tallman link below for some examples of panning shots....
I race there from time to time. Usually end up in the bar w/ the tech guys getting hammered! HAHAH! I'm on the left. Was that a Vette Doctors track day or soemthing?

Hey, thanks for the advice.. I will check out your pics! I wanted to be further up in front of the cars but I couldn't get into the stands..
I'm not sure what the rental was called.. I just went with my boyfriend, there were a lot of vettes there though! :)

yeah... you gotta walk all the way back past the wall at the rear of the track to get to the other side. Heck, during track rentals you can get right in the burnout box and starting area! (red/blue areas in the center) The crew there is real laid back... as long as you are not ahead of the cars on/near the track or doing something stupid they generally won't say boo. Etown on the other hand... extremely strict.
As far as the pics, just take a look at the exif to see how I pulled off the shots. Basically wanna be looking at zoom lengths and shutter speed. I usually pan between 1/100th and 1/50th. Good luck!
