I have a PS S30 - which was dropped  and I would like to know if it is worth repairing. I can't take pictures now. The damage SEEMED superficial at first (a dent on the corner) - all mechanical functions work, BUT while the LCD displays old images, it no longer displays new images being viewed through the lens and that no new images are captured when the shutter is released. I tried switching cards, settings, etc - same result - no image on screen or on the CF card before or after 'shooting'.
Does it sound like the CCD was damaged?, is this worth repairing? Could it be something simplier to repair?
I am going to speak to Canon, but expect them to say that I need to send it in to the repair facility in Illinois and wait for a reply. In the meantime, I hate being out a camera (the s50 is looking pretty nice).
