I've just started playing with the time lapse feature using Remote Capture, and love it :D , but it brings up the problem of the battery only lasting for 200 shots at the most.

I've just done a quick search for the Power Supply adapters and they seemed VERY expensive.

Does anyone know the best place to get one from? I'm temporarily in France at the moment, but can order from anywhere over the net.

Thanks
Damian

Does no one have a power adapter for the camera, or is there just nothing to say because the only ones you can get are very expensive?

I have bought one for about 120 euros, one year ago...

You should be able to pick up a generic power adapter. Try electronics stores, or even a camera store that sells digital cameras. Likely you'll find a generic adapter that can switch power output, and output plugs. If you can't find one that matches you camera exactly, you might get away with something close like 5 v instead of 4.5 v, but, if it blows your camera, the repair will be costly! If you feel the power switch is easy to flip to the wrong setting by accident, I suggest something like glueing it, or taping over it (tape at least is somewhat removable, so you can switch it when you really want to..) this would prevent it from suddenly delivering 12 volts to your camera!

Also look at length of cord if it comes between two adapter. More cord is more freedom, though a simple extension cord would help...

Canon sells a specific ac adapter if you want, check your manual.

Your camera will have the voltage used labeled near the power input.

Have fun with Remote!
