So now my EOS 30 (Elan 7E) belongs in the camera museum (http://www.canon.com/camera-museum/index.html)... :? I wonder what the difference is between the Elan 7(E) and the new 7N(E). Outside the USA the new one is called EOS 33v/30v.
The brochure and manual can be downloaded from http://www.canoneos.com
Looks like it has an upgraded AF system, since the brochure stresses that it has the fastest AF performance of its class - "shares much of the AF technology found in the EOS-1v and EOS 3". It does have E-TTL II, like the 1D Mark II. For the rest, judging from the brochure, the difference between the new version and the old version is minimal. It even looks (almost) exactly the same as the old Elan 7. Not a spectacular upgrade...
And look at the Powershot Pro 1 (http://www.powershot.com/powershot2/pro1/intro.html).... looks neat, it has an L lens!!
