The lighting is too flat, no shape or design. The pose is OK but what is she looking at?

I agree about needing a better lighting pattern and ratio ... could have used at least a 3:1 ratio. I also agree about "what is she looking at". If you had it at least 3 times farther away, and showing a bouquet, then it would be in context ... her looking at and touching her flowers. Otherwise, as it appears, she just looks shy.

The exposure looks good as does the focus and the skin color. It appears you have the "mechanical stuff" of image taking down pat, so the next step is to work on the posing and lighting. You used the 1-1-1 posing technique here which is quite static and unexciting. When you add in flat lighting which is also unexciting, the image then tends to be, well, static and unexciting!
In case you are unfamiliar with the 1-1-1 technique and the term "flat lighting," check out my tutorials on www.PhotoCamel.com. Scroll down to the Lighting / Technique forum then click on the sub forum "Tutorials" then to the 1-2-3 Posing Technique.

I love the pose, myself. It displays the feelings she may be having such as...this is my last day as daddy's little girl, or this is the first day of forever with this wonderful man, or I don't know....I quite like it though. I'm goign to read the tutorials....thanks for the link!!
