This is my Niece, from a shoot I did for my sister-in-law. I have been so busy these past few weeks, shooting Christmas portraits. I can hardly keep up. I never imagined I would be this busy.
Anyway, please let me know what you think.

You really captured that smile well :) Maybe de-saturate the bow in the first pic a bit, it just seems a tad over-powering IMO.

The edit to the first pic works much better IMO. Great pics :)

I too like the modified bow. However, it would be fantastic if the spot-color included her eyes in color thereby drawing our eyes to her from on top of her head. It's a portrait of her and not an ad for bows.

On the 2nd image, her flesh is too red ... due to all the red around her. What light modifiers did you use ? The ideal relector, for all the surrounding reds, would be a grid-spot. It puts light on the subject without shining on anything else. Then a good form-fill takes cares of the rest.

Also on the 2nd image ... take a look at it in your hi-res file. There seem to be some artifacts around her ear.

I like both images ... nice posing and use of props. I hope to see the 1st again with her eyes in color for balance.

These do look nice.

I would clean up the baby's chin in the second one.

Happy Holidays!

I love them.

I personally like the one with the bright red bow, but that's *my* opinion :)

Thanks everyone, these were shot with two 3' octadome soft boxes. The parents were very proud of these. On the second shot, she was falling over and I snapped the pic just before she went over. :D

I got the backdrop from Backdrop Outlet.

Thanks,
