The image quality is pretty good, but those angles are awful...was your tripod broken?? I am only kidding. Angles usually can work very well with motorsport to show speed and illustrate motion, but these just don't work for me. The last photo is the best for me. Cheers.

An extra one, straightened up a little

The straightened up pic is excellent.
I'm also not a fan of tilted pics at the best of times, and the first few pics here are really too much IMO.
The focus and capture of the cars themselves however is great.

the first 4 seemed a bit hazy for some reason, but that last ones you posted look great! and im sure you could get the haze off with some ps work in the first couple photos.

The haze is smoke from massive bushfires in the state's east, a couple of hundred kilometres away.

The last one is perfect!! I like the fire shooting out the exhaust. It must have a chevy V8

DegasGoneDigital: All Holden V8's here are Chev lumps. But in this series of racing (V8 Supercars = Ford vs Holden series) the Fords also produce the flames.

Love that last one mate! I enjoyed the slight angle on the first one but after seeing it again in the third I didn't feel the same.

Nice pics.. I'm sure you could crank up the contrast on the first ones and bring out the pop on them a bit more.. The fixed and cropped pic looks good.

Thanks for the comments. Yes the first ones look a little smokey, they are straight out of the camera and the conditions were pretty bad, visibility would have been well less then a kilometre the good thing is that they are fixable, just needs a bit more owrk then normal, I just hope that the people who are threatened by the fires are as lucky.
The Ford's do fame, not as consistant as the Holdens though.
I'm a happy man tonight, a great weekend of shooting and my man is now the Champion, go Rick Kelly :-)

That last one really works for me, the angle/composition etc. Where were you? The Dexion tent?

The third one with less angle was by far the best.
Also not a fan of angles.

I was above the pits in the Summit Club area, but all these shots were taken at Honda corner.
