Your first shot is quite good you got good lighting and composition as well as show good action well done. Shot number two doesn't do much for me, the back side of a rider ....your light was in the wrong side maybe a flash-fill would have helped but the dust was anoying and stagnent but hard to avoid....keep on posting

Nice shots.
All I would reccommend is working your shutter speed down closer to 1/320th or so.
And post more :)

Being a rider myself I think the fact that he is not wearing gear looks kinda of goofy to me.

When I saw the the thread title I expected RC, Reed, Bubba riding ("test day")...but all I found was some dude in a T shirt and camo shorts. But the light on the 3rd shot is perfect.

they aren't too bad, and you have some nice stuff in your gallery. the fact is, with mx pix, almost without exception, it takes great riders to make great shots. fast local guys are good material, and local tracks can be good canvas to work from, but for the truly great stuff, it takes pros on national tracks, so don't feel bad.
oh...except for one MAJOR criticism: there is no "r" in motocross!
