Hi, all. I love the pictures on the site. I've never posted before, but I took this one and thought it may fit here. I know it's not the whole tree, but what I thought was the prettiest part. Please feel free to comment.

Thought I'd include mine here, though the tree is in the background I like the composition of this shot better.
Xti with kit lens before other lenses arrived. :)

Here's my Christmas tree - I was playing around with exposures and such.
Merry Christmas!

That is a beautifully composed and exposed (starting to sound like Jessie Jackson :) ) shot! I love that. Did you use a star filter? If not, how did you do it?

Thanks :)
No star filter - on long exposures, high f-stops give a star effect, this was a 30 second exposure, f/22, ISO 1600, at 18mm while resting on the end of my piano. :)

Thanks for sharing the photo & technique. I will definitely make a note of it.

I don't think I'd want to go outside to decorate that tree. Burrr

Wow, Alphadark that is really cool how you used the piano keyboard to draw the eye to the tree. I love the reflections off the keyboard.

Thanks for the comment. :D
I notice you picked up on the "alfa" spelling. ;) It's actually in relation to the Alfa Romeo brand of car for anyone who was wondering.
