I can do quite a bit of things as most of you know.

I would suspect this is done by fiddling around with the perspective, then add a drop shadow and then erase part of the drop shadow but I'd be curious if someone has an action that can do this without me having to create one?

The curled image and the shadow is what I'm after.

its pretty simple...

have the background image as the background, a layer for the shadow in the middle and a layer for the photograph on top of that. the best way to make the shadow is command-click (cntrl-click on a pc) on the layer with the photo. that will create a selection around the photo. copy and paste it on a new layer. change that to the shadow color, move the layer to underneath the photo layer, move the shadow to the postion you want, lower opacity and blur.

to make the photo curl, go to edit>transform>warp. when the grid appears, pull down in the center of the top and bottom.

Thanks Jason,

I'll try that this afternoon or tomorrow.

Here's an action I created earlier this evening that will do what you were asking for. It works best for images that are in landscape mode because of the way the picture is curled. This is just a sample action to show you that it can be done and to provide you with a starting point. You will probably need to tailor to suit your needs.

[EDIT: BTW, this was done on PSCS. Not sure if it'll work with PS 7 or earlier, though, since I'm not sure if Filter > Distort > Shear is supported in the earlier versions of PS. ]
