This was my first trip out with the 1D
From what I can see I have a lot of photos that are keepers so will have to spend some time sorting thro them
Thanks to Simon and Geoff for you company and input on what was a very enjoyable day
Here is one pic that I have uploaded, more to come. This was shot at ISO800, 1/250 and f/4. All I have done is converted from RAW using RawShooter and Noise Nija with minimal sharpening
Please feel free to critque :)

One thing I have noticed when posting pictures is they never look as good here as they do on my PC. I have seen other posters and they always look great so am I doing somit wrong?
11/12/06 - I have taken on board some advice and spent today playing with unsharpening mask for the photos I post and think the second one is more what I was looking for

Very nice Peter, you got that lovelly backdrop in. If I wasn't putting my new toy through its paces, I'd I've slapped my 85mm on to make the most of the view.
I use a Fred Miranda PS plugin (Web Presenter Pro) to re-size for for web use. You might want to have a look at it - does a great job.
Simon.

Peter, there's nothing wrong with that shot at all. You should be very pleased with your first outing with the 1DMK2.

Is that Simon Harrison In the undergrowth??
There was some debate as to whether it was Simon, Alan Titschmarsh, David Bellamy or Charlie Dimmock :D
Those are fine shots Peter. If you can turn this sort of stuff out on your first real use of the the 1DMK2 then there should be some really nice work to come in the future. :)

Aye that's me. You couldn't turn your back on those two swines for a moment for fear of one of them pointing a camera at you  .
Really nice stuff Peter. The USM has certainly lifted the first shot you posted. Like Geoff has said, these shots are spot on so the sky will be the limit when you get fully in tune with your 1d mk II N.
Cheers,
Simon.
