I was walking around and testing an old manual focus lens. (A lens from my old FSLR, a OM-1N).

Handheld, shooting from the hip (literally), at f16 on 640ISO. 24mm. Av mode.

How did I get it so straight? This is sort of P&S emulation. Some pix are crooked, some cut off heads, some cut off feet, but this one was just right.

from the hip?!? nice composition! would be cool if we could do that all the time! :) would make my favorite photography, candids, much easier :D

I often try this from the hip action, never seem to be able to quite get it right.
