Very nice. I like the first one best for the pose and exposure. Nice colors, reflrction and details. I take these are the duck shots you owe the forum from when you fot your 400:D ;)

Thanks guys. Your right Gary, these are the ones I owe you guys. :)
I finally got serious about todays shoot. I wanted to try some new settings, Manual, play with EV, aperture. Then I forgot and left it on ISO 400. Duhhh... Still, they came out OK. The last one shows a highlite in the waterdrop, but it got lost when I saved I guess. ;)

Great shots Mitch, that 400 really produces sharp, clear images.

Thanks guys. That 400L is prime, that's for sure. And I just found a little surprise in my old camera bag that I had forgotten about.
You might remember Dennis, I got a Life-Size Converter for that Canon 50 Macro awhile back. I just tried it on the 400, and it works wonderfully and I have AF with it, and no f/stop loss at all, or at least it seems so. It doesn't show in the EXIF, anyway. Going to give that a try tomorrow. It ought to be equivelant to the 1.4. :D

The life size converter is a close up adaptor. It can not extend your lens, but you could use it as a great "macro" adaptor.

Thanks all. Yes, a 400mm is great for birds and inflights. Wish I had a bigger one to go with it. :)
Dennis, you were right. The LS converter works, but only out to about 40 feet. :(

Great shots, the colours are so bold, did you do much processing on these?

Thanks gordon. No not much post processing. I had one of the Styles set for a little over the normal contrast and stuff, which was too much for a lot of the shots. It gave a blue tinge to some of the brighter greens. I did a little midtone adjustment and some light USM because of the 400 ISO and resizing. These are cropped a little bit.
