I finally got around to getting in a few shots. I bought a 50mm f1.4 at the same time I got the camera body so I could double up on rebates. Got the 30% deal from Dell several weeks ago, and figured that the combination with double-rebates was just too good to pass up.

This guy sat still for a photo, but 1.4 is sooooo shallow. It will take some getting used to . . .

This little fella was not as still. New 30D with Sigma 70-200 + 1.4x teleconverter.

Neither shot is exceptional, but I sure am excited to take more! :)

It sure does take some getting use to, nice shots, I will post some when I get the hang of it and can get outside. Been stuck in front of pc with camera in hand reading manual and books etc.
Now it's sunday night and work looms on the horizon, still all good things come to those that wait :)

I wanted a duck, but haven't been in "duck country" around the house. If you use your imagination, you can make that titmaus look ducky.
