It's one of those once in a life time shots, I like it, very spiritual.

Nice shot. Did you run and hide?
Wouldn't it have been awesome isf that beam of light had hit the trees under it. Wow.

I just run to work because I was late (taking the pictures required a few minutes and i was already in a hurry, because I could not ignore the scenario... ).
Thank You

Simplt superb! I wonder if you can make the clouds a bit sharper?
As for the light hitting the trees "under it", a trained eye will probably notice that the trees arent really under the light at all? They are kilometers closer to the photographer than the light fax. So, even if the light did hit the trees, it would do so in the plane opposed to the photographer, which would probably yield no visible result.
Nice shot.

:D
you are right: the trees are much closer to me than the rays: they are slightly aligned in one shot, but not in the other (that was taken from another window just a few meters apart - the trees are very close to my house)
I actually did not USM the pictures at all, then can try to play with the cluds.
Thank you for the input.

Never seen anything like it before in my life! What a unique opportunity, and you captured it well, especially the first photo.

All I said is that it would be cool. I didn't suggest that it was possible.

Very nice, DDS. Did you meter off the sun lite?
I have a thing for sky/cloud photography. But am quite limited with the g2. One day soon I'll get a 10d maybe. I need to learn the basics first anyway.

I'm not very proud of that, but actually just set Av priority, ISO, point and shot.....
