This was recently set up here in El Paso. I just got my Canon Rebel and love it. This is my first pic post so go easy but don't hold back.

nice...i'm just breaking in my "new" (to me) rebel as well....

framed nicely...did you do any PP work? I think it could benefit a bit by tweaking the shadows, highlights and a bit of sharpening. all in all, great first shots!

I like the second shot the best but it wouldn't kill the shot to make the sky darker.

I really like the 2nd shot as well. I really like how the sun is positioned relative to the statue and and angle. Makes the statue look very majestic in my opinion.

I agree that you should maybe darken the background a bit in photoshop. You could also clone out the lamp posts.
