Hi, I've lost the software that was included with my G3 package, and never got around to installing it. I wanted to know if there was any other software that I could get to replace the canon one. Also is the software included with the G5 the same software included with the G3, or is it atleast compatible. Thanks for your help.

I will check the CD when I get home and see how big it is. If it is fairly small, I will to a compressed ISO of it, and you can pull it off my FTP!
If it is too big, it might not be worth doing as I am only running 128K.

Hi, the ones provided on the canon site are only the drivers for the camera, I was interested in getting the software that came with it, so that I can use photostich, any ideas.

Call 1-800-OK-CANON. I am sure they have replacement CD-ROMs. They may charge a nominal media fee.

I don't see why the G5 software can't work for the G3. I use my 10D software for the G3 all the time. The only thing I had to get off the G3 software CD was the G3 driver and that can be had from Canon's website.

 You can get a card reader and upload your pictures to a folder you create, then edit them in photoshop or what ever you're using. That's one less thing your camera will have to do. As for stitching, if you're like me you might use it a few times. This is a suggestion until you get your software.

yabba dabba do,
I have an ISO of V12.1 of the G3 CD here on my FTP now, my link is only 128K, but permanantly connected.
Please let me know how you get on, as I will remove the FTP when you are done.
The path should be ftp://lowden.no-ip.org
There is only one file there, it is 318MB and compressed via Winzip. Any good CD writing software should be able to burn the image to CD (I use Nero fine for this).
