Thought i'd share with you all some of my shipwreck shots both above and below underwater
Pilar del Caribe -
This is a shipwreck found on the Palisadoes stretch of land in Kingston, Jamaica.
If you fly into Kingston you can make out the shipwreck on the shore .
Attempts have been made to tow it to sea previously but they've all failed.

Photo speaks to me on many levels...
Love the juxtaposition of man vs machine, mobile vs immobile...

Edina
This is the bow of a wrecked ship called Edina...
Fairly popular divesite.
Shots taken at a depth of about 90ft, amazing how even at this depth passing hurricanes can move and twist the ship..

All shots taken with a Canon Powershot A610...
Note - Mods move this thread if necessary, these shots don't seem to conform to any of the photo sharing categories really?

The First shot is Very Lush, the only thing i think of is that i would like the see the sky a lil more Vibrant.
Most of been fun taking photos underwater, i love scuba diving.

Thanks livewire,
The first shot is actually an HDR.
My little point & shoot struggles with blown highlights and with the blazing early morning sun, I figured this was the only way to get a decent looking pic?
Lol and I love diving too ;)

I LOVE the first one.. just incredible. I would love to see that.... incredible colors and composition what a great feeling.. the ship looks like it should be haunted something out of a movie and the color of the sky gives it a feeling of being approachable and the details of the ship just makes you keep looking...

Concur, first shot has a "haunted ship" feeling when you see it, love the colors in that one!

great wreck.. is it possible to actually board her?
Yes it is.
On the starboard side there's a rope ladder that you can climb up on to get on the ship.
I used Photomatix (full version) to combine the exposures and do the initial editing (touching up) in the photo...
Saved the file as a TIFF and then edited it further in CS2.
Thanks for the feedback all, the first shot is definitely one of my all time faves, looking forward to going back there and further exploring the wreck :).

Wow, the first 3 are awesome in the most literal sense. Ship wreaks are something I wish I could see more often, they're so haunting and their shear size is daunting.

Jamdiver,
The first and last are great pix.
I went to jamaica in 2001 for my honeymoon. Great place with a lot of photo opportunities.
can't wait to see more of your pics.

The first shot is just fantastic, i love the range of exposure you've captured and the context of the image.
The third image is also very nice, i agree on the juxtaposition off the image.
Well done.

Thanks azpix :).
I agree the island is littered with so much photographic opportunity, and there's much more to it than the cliched, sun, sand sea images :).

The first, third, and last are awesome. Nice work.
I spent a week in Jamaica but I was, let's say, demotivated from going too far from my room. Actually, even when I left the room the nude beaches were much too inspiring and not welcoming to cameras.

First shot HDR is way cool. The third shot has a pretty bad halo off of the stern. I forget what causes this ... over sharpening?

If you had caught the sun just before it rose over the mountians you could have avoided the blown highlights , that being said I love the shots.
