C & C welcome! I travelled to Leavenworth, WA and took some pics of my friends while I was there. Tell me what you think or how I could improve them. They were all taken with just available light which was really dim with low clouds and some mist. They came out very grainy. I need to get noise ninja.
My buddy Jay.

I like the second one with the heart of snow. I think with a little PP these can go a long way. I'm not good at PP so I can't offer any suggestions except maybe to try and convert them to B&W and see how they look.

Yeah it is. I had to crank the ISO up to 1600 to get a decent exposure and the snow was playing hell with the WB.

Nice pictures. A bit cool in the pictures. Add some reds back in will give it a bit more life in some of the pictures.
I see that you are using f/5.6 @ 18mm. Since the background isn't too spectacular, you can use a bigger aperture and probably be safe at around ISO 400.
As you probably know already, the last one is out of focus. I do have a hard time with using a remote as well. Try setting it up so you focus on your friend first, then switch the lens to manual focus, then hop back in for the picture.

I see a fun series. I also see an opportunity lost. If you had created them at least 3 to 4 times as far away you would have had some great captures. The surroundings, in outdoor images, helps to tell the story. You could do images inside on a white background but ... you had a wonderful location and failed to show much of it.

I love the one with the two of them and the snow heart. As I saw her picture with the heart, I thought it'd be a cute shot of the two of them with it. Imagine my pleasure when I saw that very shot next! :D Great shots!

Sorry I have to disagree here. Think the subjects are perfectly framed. There is nothing, I could see from the Posters description or setting that could make this so. I could be wrong, so if I am let me know. It would be a first. :)

Thanks everyone for the comments. It seems like as I try to take some blue out and put red back in the picture quality suffers even more.

Hmmm, cold heart. Warm hands?
Fun series but you can keep the snow. I've seen more of it than I should have.
