Dont know...they look about the same to me.. Only difference I see is the tamron is closer cause of the 28mm and you shot it head on. The sigma one you took at an angle...they both seem pretty much on par with each other.

What settings where shot on these..I am imaging widest setting and 2.8

'Single rebate' is easier to read in the first one, but that could merely be due to the different FOV causing the higher magnification. If he shot both photos at the 'widest' for each lens, it would make sense...28mm FOV in the first one, 24mm FOV in the second. NOT a valid direct comparison in my mind, so I won't render any judgement!

To the OP: this is a fine snap shot but there is no way to "validly" determine much of anything from this. Shot from slightly different angles, movement that shifts in and out of DOF (if at f2.8 and thereabouts), etc. Also, without 100% crops, these resized images really don't reveal much about resolution.

I reckon the second is the Sigma - Looks a bit 'yellow' to me.

EDIT - I only saw 2 pics at first viewing ??? Ignore my first statement above...

I reckon the 1st and the 4th are the Sigma

The 1st and 3rd pictures are same lens and likely the Tamron. 2 and 4 are noticeably less sharp/clear - likely the Sigma.

The Tamron gets a lot of praise - probably 2 or 3 to 1 compared to the Sigma.

Hmm the yellow cast from the Sigma is very strong compare to the Tamron. I saw pics from these before but don't recall it's that strong.

Both look fine to me ... one isn't better but they are different. Shoot Raw and any 'colour' preference can be easily sorted. Owned both these lenses and they are the same IQ more or less, but 24mm much more useful day to day.

Hate the Sigma, no HSM so focus is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO slow. Selling mine and getting the Canon 24-70 instead. Never really been all that enthused by the results of the Simga.

I never noticed mine as being slow at all. Very fast, sharp AF in fact
