It's an excellent first attempt... night photography can be really fun.

Two things I noticed: First, there's only black, "negative space" on the bottom third of your picture... try recomposing the shot, or tilt the camera up and show more of the night sky... it's much more interesting that way.

Also, the picture is a little blurry. (if you just took it tonight, it was foggy out, so that could be it too). In any case, MAKE SURE the camera/tripod is nice and steady - on the S3, use the 2-second timer to reduce camera shake.
