Hello All!
OK, so I should be smart enough by now to know that there is no "best" printer for everyone. But here's my problem: I want to sell prints, and I have purchased both the Epson 2200 and the Canon i9100, and I am not happy with either. In short, here is why I think neither will work for me:
Epson: Beautiful long-lasting prints, but reflects black ink differently than other color inks (makes people look funny when viewed at the "wrong" angle).
Canon: Very fast, nice prints, but longevity of prints are in question. I don't think I can chance a print fading after 5-10 years of hanging on someone's living room wall.
Would anyone be interested in participating in a discussion about what they believe to be the "best" printer for selling prints? Is there a good one for under $1000? I have considered the Kodak 8500... I wish it could do larger than 8x10, but I figure I could always outsource my larger prints.
Anyhow, I don't want to knock the Epson or the Canon because they are both excellent printers. I just don't think they will work for my needs. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
-Deva
