autocross at Manfeild - NZ

Hi Everyone

Went out to Manfeild on Sunday to take some photos at the autocross - basically where you can bring whatever car you like and have a go - they had two classes, racers and drifters. Was a new experience for me - sitting on the wall inside the hairpin, and the drifters. C&C welcome

I have decided there is more to life than V8Supercars LOL - These guys (and girls) were all out there having an awesome time by the looks of things - think its great that you can go and buy a BOS (bucket of - yeah, you know what :P) car, and as long as the scrutineers say it's safe you can get out on the track and have a go in safe conditions! Better than doing it on the road I reckon :)

that's a good point. anyway days like that gives one practice. I am not a big fan of drifting. I think it's rather pointless.

You are right about the practice - and the more I can do the better :D It is all good as the car club is looking at using some of the photos (there are more on my website - and not just of the drifters ;) ), which might lead onto a few things :)

I dunno - the amount of time some of them spent off track it could have qualified :D That's what the event was called - something to do with the length of the straights only being allowed to be a maximum of 200m I think? It was originally a circuit sprint, but they had to change it :S
