Ok, the day after Thanksgiving I shot my first wedding as lead photographer. The setting was very romantic if you were a guest, the only lights on were the stage lights (red/blue gelled "cans") and small candles on the tables. But from a photographer's standpoint it was scary as heck! I went through the night switching between Av mode (for ambient light shots), and P (for flash shots uisng a betterbounce card), changing ISO for each mode, and running around in the dark trying not to run into people :D !

Well enough of my whining, it was a beautiful ceremony, they both had a wonderful day, and were very pleased with their pics, so here are a few. The rest can be found here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/sinks/sets/72157594416706785/
by the way, the blue speck on this one is a sequin on the veil

I think they are wonderful... I love number 2 and 3, I don't know who the man is, but the feeling I get is he is the dad?

Yes, that was her Dad, as well as the minister! Great fella!

This should probably be in the wedding section.

During the ceremony, what lens did you use?

david,
I noticed that the wedding forum is in the "talk about photography" section. If this could go there that would be great, any mod wanna move this? I shot mostly with the 70-200 2.8 IS, and the 85mm 1.8

Very nicely done. The ammount of available light can get the blood running.

I think you did an outstanding job with the lighting conditions you had to work with.

Ok, just to clarify, and share a little bit o' weirdness...

The top one is in the dressingroom (bathroom at the restaurant), the b/w of the couple at the stage is lit by the stage ligts (red/blue tungsten) the halo behind him is a street light. The father is sitting in the "normal" light at this venue (which will typically get me about 1/60-1/100 at ISO 1600 f/1.8-2.8~. And the last one is available light only on stage but I clicked for white balance in DPP to get their faces right, which turned the tungsten outside/on the wall behind them green! Crazy how that works!

Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate it!! Keep them coming, and be sure to check the flickr feed for more.
