POTN Book Project Q&A Thread

For those of you who have not heard about it, the POTN Photo Book Project came into action after a thread was started by Lord Malone (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=232257).

Well it's happening! We will start taking submissions on 5 Jan 2007.


This thread will be used for general questions & answers, but don't forget to read the FAQ and Terms and Conditions (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=235796) first.

maybe I missed it in the FAQ, but whats the final word on model/location releases?

Under the "Formal POTN Book Terms and Conditions"

9. It is the responsibility of the photographer to obtain model and property releases when and where appropriate and to submit them to the Committee prior to publication. If an image is selected for publication then copies of any necessary releases must also be submitted. Images that require releases will be discarded if the release is not received by Sun 22 Apr 07. No model or property release submissions will be accepted after this date. The photographer indemnifies POTN and the Committee against any responsibility for the proper procurement of model releases for all images submitted. Releases may be submitted electronically in pdf format or scanned originals. The Committee (as publishers of the book) reserves the right not to include any image in either public voting or in the Book if it feels appropriate releases have not been obtained and submitted. No photo - regardless of release - will printed if, in the opinion of the Book Comittee it shows anyone in a bad light.
