Had one of those days at work. So I shut off the computer, grabbed my coat, and went home and grabbed the Camera.
Just chalk it up as a "Mental Health Day"... Even if I didn't get one good photo, at least I got out to shoot.
I thought it would be a nice challenge to get some images under flat light conditions, so here are my attempts... C&C Welcome as Always.

Thanks all for the feedback...
All and All, I'm pretty happy w/ these shots given the lighting conditions. I found it a challenge to shoot the flat lighting conditions the overcast created, and although the color version of the images were nothing spectacular due to the "grayness" of the sky, they lent themselves to B/W conversion very nicely. It would have been nice to have some more tonal value & variation in the sky however.
The one's I like the best are where I shot into a backlit scene. I metered the sky and shot the subject so that it would silhouette the subject some, giving a dense look and add mood to the image.

#6 is my favorite, but they all look good. The B&W conversion works well with these images. I agree that a more dynamic sky would improve these, but hey, what are you going to do?

Nope... Delaware Memorial Bridge. [South Jersey] (End of the Turnpike, Exit 1, in NJ-a-nese) :)
A Bit Of Useless Trivia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delaware_Memorial_Bridge)
As far as I know, I believe it still holds the record as the World's Longest Twin Suspension Bridge in the World

Athena,
If I have truly been able to convey the "mood" I saw & felt when I took the image than I have humbly succeeded in my goal.
That's the highest compliment anyone could have offered. Thanks
Congrat, by the way, on being nominated for the this 'shares' selection panel for the POTN Photo Book.
Also, thanks tim
